CISC 2020 Presenter Application
The Curriculum & Instruction Steering Committee (CISC) of the California County Superintendent's Educational Services Association (CCSESA) is excited to be hosting the 29th Annual CISC Leadership Symposium February 19-21, 2020 in Monterey, California. This annual conference is a major educational event for Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Directors of Curriculum & Instruction, and others who work to support curricular innovation in schools.

The 2020 Conference Theme is, "Our Vision, Their Future, See the Possibilities" and will focus on supporting leaders in developing systems that result in a coherent, equitable educational environment. The Conference strands are:

*LEADERSHIP AND SYSTEMS:
Strengthening leadership by creating equitable systems that support data driven decision making. Meeting the needs of all learners through vision setting, cultural & linguistic responsiveness, inclusion and social emotional learning. Working in partnership to provide high quality instruction for students with more specialized learning needs; moving toward a universal system.

*CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
Engaging in a reflective model that includes data, stakeholders and a variety of methodologies to improve outcomes. Introducing, modeling, and sustaining a growth mindset around a process of improvement. Supporting a system of coaching and mentoring.

*FUTURE READY STUDENTS
Listening to student voices; empowering problem solvers and decision makers. Creating environments that are highly engaging, adaptable, technologically advanced and reflective. Supporting leaders to expand the vision of future ready classrooms and schools.

CISC is seeking proposals for sessions that engage participants in deepening their knowledge and skills related to the above stated strands. We invite you to join as a presenter by submitting applications that represent promising practices in these areas. Please complete the application form below. Please note the Presenter Responsibilities below.

Presenter Responsibilities:

*REGISTRATION: Upon acceptance, all presenters are required to register for the 2020 Symposium.

*COMMUNICATION: Only the primary presenter will receive correspondence related to the Symposium. It is the primary presenter's responsibility to relay appropriate information to all presenters.

*EXPENSES: All presenters are responsible for expenses related to the Symposium, including registration, travel, hotel, and meals.

*HAND-OUTS: If hand-outs are needed, it is the responsibility of the primary presenter to provide copies of materials for all participants. Notifications of room assignments and capacity will be made 30 days prior to the Symposium, and handouts are to reflect the capacity of the assigned room.

*EQUIPMENT: Each room will be equipped with an LDC projector, screen and internet connection. Any additional equipment needed such as a computer, speakers, chart paper, extension cords, dongle, etc., is the responsibility of the presenter.

*RESOURCES: All presenters will be responsible to upload all presentation slide decks, handouts, and resources to the online platform prior to Wednesday, February 19.
