Together for DC exists to build a people-powered solidarity movement – led by DC residents and neighbors across the US – to defend DC’s autonomy and achieve statehood, securing full rights for the 700,000 people who call DC home.
DC is one of the front lines of escalating attacks on democracy. Attacks on DC’s autonomy do not just harm DC residents. It weakens the promise of democracy for all of us and normalizes federal overreach that can (and has) spread to other communities nationwide. To stop the ongoing attacks from Congress and this administration, we are building a broad movement of local, state, and national organizations, as well as individual neighbors nationwide, who stand as Champions Together for DC.

our shared platform and commit to being active supporters of preserving DC's dignity and self-governance in the face of the worse attacks on DC's democracy in decades.
Important Note: Joining as a Champion simply means that you endorse our platform and commit to supporting opportunities to be in solidarity. Your name and/or organization will be featured on our website’s Champions page, but will not be used without permission in any other context beyond your endorsement of the campaign’s platform.
