We Want to Hear Your Stories - What Have SNAP Emergency Allotments Meant to You?

To alleviate rising hunger rates during the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress increased Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits through temporary boosts known as Emergency Allotments. But the Emergency Allotments are coming to an end. As of March 1, 2023, SNAP recipients will suffer dramatic cuts to their monthly SNAP benefits – on average, each SNAP recipient's monthly benefits will suddenly decrease by $82. Advocates believe a "hunger cliff" is looming.

We want to hear from you! Tell us what the temporary boosts in SNAP benefits have meant to you, and how the imminent end to Emergency Allotments will impact you and your family.
