This event will be held at OSCEOLA SKI & SPORT in OSCEOLA, NY and is open to all levels, ages 13 and over.

This race is a mountain bike modified pursuit format event where competitors will ride the loops rather than running. Upon entering the range, bikes will be dropped and then picked up again after shooting in order to move on to the next loop. Expect the loop distance to be in the 1.5-2.0km range (times 5).

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
Due to continuing concerns involving Covid-19, we are taking as many precautions as possible in order to protect everyone involved with this event. While this may make things more difficult, it allows us to hold our events this year. We have put together guidelines based on NYSSRA's & NYSDOH policy along with the organizing committees concerns. We may adapt these depending on the situation as we get closer to race day. Please follow these guidelines as closely as possible.

Please review closely!!
1. Vaccinated participants may choose to not wear a mask. Non-vaccinated individuals are asked to wear a mask when not actively racing.
2. Social distancing (6 feet) is recommended for all participants not from the same household.
3. Masks are not required during the race while on course or at the range.

Additional Precautions
1. Contact tracing will be maintained using registration information.
2. Hand sanitizer will be made available.
3. Shared rifles will be wiped down with disinfectant between each use.
4. Competitors will be sent out individually at 1 minute intervals to provide spacing.
5. Spectator area will be separate from the competitors to reduce potential contact.

RACE DETAILS
The race is open to those 13 and older. First time participants must complete a mandatory rifle safety/biathlon orientation clinic held prior to the race. The race will be held on the dirt trails of Osceola Ski & Sport and will consist of uneven terrain and potentially slick conditions depending on the weather. Total distance will be in the 7.5-10km range depending on trail selection.

Competitors must provide their own bikes for the event.

All competitors under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian present the morning of the clinic to sign the liability release form.

Age groups will be developed based on the registration we receive but will include a novice group, boy/girl (13 &14), some variation on open, master, grand master, etc.

Registration fee: (1) Pre-registration: $20 age over 18, $15 18 or younger - pay when you check-in day of race
(2) Day of registration: $25 age over 18, $20 18 or younger.

*NOTE*: If you are not a member of USBA, there is a $20 'member for a day' fee that covers insurance.
All payments are due during the registration period the day of the event.

PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSES THURSDAY AUGUST 18TH AT 10:00PM. Any registration after that time will be considered 'day of registration' (additional $5 entry fee).

All classes: approximately 7.5-10km, pursuit format - 5 loops, penalty loop
*NOTE* - Distances and formats may be modified based on trail conditions the day of the race
