Athletics Committee members act as boosters for George School sports through communications and are in on-site presence for athletic events including the annual Cross-Country Invitational Meet in September, Spirit Week and Homecoming in October and other athletic events throughout the year.

Commencement Committee members gather volunteers and help to create the floral arrangements for Commencement Meeting for Worship, which is held over Memorial Day Weekend each year. Additionally, this committee also distributes graduation signs and window decals to the members of each graduating class.

Parent Book Club Committee members work with the George School PGA to select books and organize meeting times for discussion.

Cookie Delivery Committee members make or donate cookies for distribution to all students during exam weeks

Candy Delivery Committee members deliver candy for Opening Days, at Halloween and on Valentine’s Day.

Parent Inclusion Committee members will engage parents in fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in the George School community through school-wide social gatherings, cultural events, and community conversations.

Teacher and Staff Appreciation Committee members plan and oversee Faculty and Staff appreciation events, which occur in the Fall, Winter, and Spring of each year.

George School Fund Committee members, working in tandem with the George School Advancement Team, support the George School Fund by making phones calls during the GGG, participating in giving challenges and educating others about the importance of philanthropy at George School. The GGG is held in February of each year.

New Parent Mentor Committee members contact new families in the Spring and Fall to welcome them to the community and answer any questions they have.

Orientation and Move-in Days Committee members greet, direct, and assist new families as they register and move-in at the start of the school year. Some support may also be needed a few days before and after official Opening Days events.
