The Cognitive Neuroscience Lab studies the neural and cognitive bases of language processing, with an emphasis on bilingualism and the brain. Research Assistants are involved in and responsible for: recruiting participants, testing human subjects on computer-controlled experiments (i.e., getting experiments ready, ensuring that subjects meet criteria, administering paperwork and vision test, setting up the computer program, explaining instructions, supervising subjects during experiment itself, and administering feedback), doing data transcription, coding, preliminary analyses and data entry, attending regular weekly lab meetings, and helping out with a variety of miscellaneous tasks as they arise.
The time commitment required is about 10-12 hours/week. You can register for 3-4 credits per quarter, for either a letter grade or CR/NC. We ask that students continue in our lab for at least 3 quarters. If you are interested, please take some time to fill out the information below. We will contact you if you appear to possess the qualities that we are looking for!
