Diocese of East Carolina - Mental Wellness Series for Young People
This 3 part series young people in grades 6 - 12 is meant to provide open and safe space for conversation about their concerns around mental health and wellness. We hope to help begin removing the stigma often associated with mental health and illness. We hope to provide a beginning tool kit so young people can advocate for their own mental well-being as well as ways to offer appropriate support for friends, and most importantly when to ask for help.

Mental health and wellness is an important topic in our lives, but COVID-19 has put a strain on many people who have not struggled with these issues in the past.

This is a 3 part series and while it is not necessary to participate in all 3, information will be gathered from participants in the first session that feeds into the second, that will shape the third.

Registration for this event is required. We will meet via ZOOM for all three. Please include a valid email address that is checked regularly where the ZOOM link can be emailed the day of the session.

Facilitators for these sessions include at this time:
Emily Gowdy Canady - Diocesan House
Tracy Hanson - St. Andrew's on the Sound, Wilmington
Meg Jones - Christ Church, New Bern
Xena Markine-Morrison - St. Stephen's, Goldsboro
