SDA Officer Elections (2018-2019)
Below are the positions available for SDA officers and subcommittee leaders.

The SDA officers are in charge of all SDA meetings and activities (including general meetings, officer meetings, the Dietetic Internship Workshop, and National Nutrition Month). The subcommittee leaders are only responsible for managing their committees. You may apply to SDA officer positions, subcommittee positions, or both. Note: you may hold one officer position or one subcommittee position, or you may hold one of each. If applying to both leadership type positions please clarify if you only wish to hold one or the other.

Applications are due by Friday, March 16th at 11:59pm. The current officers will review your application and may contact you with additional questions. We will notify you via email if you have been selected by Monday, April 2th.

President
Delegates and oversees all meetings and activities, sets the dates and agenda for the officer and general meetings, upholds and abides the constitution and goals of the SDA. **Must attend the Leadership Symposium in September 2017 (all-day conference). Co-Treasurer (shared responsibilities)
Creates the SDA operating and event budgets and presents to the ASI board. Coordinates catering and food for SDA meetings and events. Coordinates donations from the community and fundraising projects. Sets up accounts for the campus copy center and assists other SDA officers in communicating with ASI. **Must attend the Leadership Symposium in September 2017 (all-day conference). Co-Treasurer (shared responsibilities)
Collects money from joining members, manages petty cash throughout the year, and coordinates financial matters for activities. **Must attend one Student Leader Orientation (1.25 hour), which is offered throughout the semester and in the summer OR the Leadership Symposium in September 2017 (all-day conference). Acts as a liaison between the Bay Area Dietetic Association and SDA. Duties include attending monthly meetings of both organizations and bringing information to meetings. Acts as a liaison between the Diablo Valley District of the California Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (in the East Bay) and SDA. Balanced Beings Committee (two positions available)
Will need to seek out new and/or existing elementary schools to set up classroom education. Duties include preparing and organizing lesson plans, handouts, and supplies. Must recruit and train new volunteers. Must feel comfortable managing student volunteers. Please WRITE YOUR NAME at the beginning of your answer.

Mentoring Group
Responsible for the mentor-mentee pairing of junior and senor dietetics students (based upon a number of criteria such as area of interest, where they live, and other similarities). Send out monthly check-in reminders to mentors. Update mentoring group weebly site and check gmail account. Farmers Market Committee (two positions available)
Must be available to be on campus Thursday morning/afternoon to table at the SFSU Farmer’s Market. Duties include organizing SDA events such as cooking demonstrations, nutrition education tables, etc. Must be proactive in creating handouts and promoting awareness of healthy eating on campus.
