We're collecting a list of essential and culturally significant films by Black women and gender-nonconforming directors, and we need your help! We're working on building the Sisters in Cinema's first Black Women and gender-nonconforming film canon. Selected films may be showcased as part of our 2025 Sisters in Cinema Screening Series. This series is an opportunity for artists and audiences alike to appreciate the breadth of artistry of generations of Black women and gender-nonconforming media makers.
