Competition Expectations:
All contestants will compete in Evening gown and will be judged on poise, personality, beauty and projection.
Teen and Miss contestants will compete in an interview the morning of the pageant and will be asked an onstage question that will be given to them ahead of time. Interview times will be emailed to the contestants. Interviews will take place at the Case Building located behind the auditorium.
Contestants are encouraged to walk using a basic "T" pattern. They will enter and exit from the left side of the stage. Each age group will line up at the end of each group for optional category judging.
Dressing rooms are limited.
Appearances:
Queens are required to attend the Sweet Potato Festival, ride in the Sweet Potato Parade, and attend the VIP Breakfast on October 25th. They are encouraged to attend the Farmer Luncheon on October 24.
We will need all Queens to stay to have pictures made at the end of the pageant.
Awards:
Each division winner will receive a crown, sash, trophy and crowning pin. Teen and Miss Georgia Sweet Potato will receive a scholarship that will be given to them upon completion of their reign.
We will have a 1st runner up, a 2nd runner up and a queen for each division. The runner up winners will receive a trophy and a tiara.
Our optional categories will include: best dress, best smile, best hair and most photogenic. An interview winner will be awarded for Teen and Miss age divisions. A tiara and medal will be awarded to all optional winners.
One Photogenic picture is included; however, you can submit additional photos for $5 ea.
DO NOT MAIL PHOTOS – Bring to registration by 1:30 the day of the pageant
We will also have an overall people’s choice winner. This winner is based on the total amount of money raised by the contestant. Each contestant will have a bag set up at registration in the lobby with their contestant number and monetary donations can be placed in these bags. The bags will collected during intermission and will be counted to see who has collected the most donations. This winner will receive a crown, sash, crowning pin, and trophy and will be able to attend all appearances with the newly crowned queens. This title CAN BE double crowned.
The emcee will read directly from the application.
Expectations of Contestants:
Contestants must have never been married, pregnant or ever had a child. Contestants must be of good moral character and never have been convicted of a crime. There will be no refunds unless the pageant is cancelled. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or any unbecoming conduct by a contestant or member of her entourage, or any disregards for the rules and regulations of the pageant will result in immediate disqualification and dismissal without a refund
