Relationships and Health Education Policy Review

The Department for Education introduced compulsory relationships and health education (RHE) for primary pupils from September 2020.

As part of this, all schools are required to consult with parents when developing and reviewing their policies for relationships and health education, which will help to inform decisions on when and how certain content is covered. When and how content is taught is ultimately a decision for the academy, and consultation does not provide a parental veto on curriculum content.

Please indicate to what extent you agree or disagree with the following statements.

You can find further details about the introduction of compulsory relationships education, as well as answers to many other frequently asked questions, on the government website. A copy of school's current policy is available on the school's website at https://www.pendleprimaryacademy.co.uk/page/?title=Relationships+and+Health+Education&pid=49
