The AVID curriculum, based on rigorous standards, was developed by middle and senior high school teachers in collaboration with college professors. It is driven by the WICOR method, which stands for writing, inquiry, collaboration, organization, and reading. AVID curriculum is used in AVID elective classes and in content-area classes in AVID schools.
In order to be eligible for AVID applicants must meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:

-Must be highly motivated to attend a 4 year college after graduation - Have a 2.0 or higher GPA with no D's or F's
-Consideration for admission to the AVID program begins with submitting an application. You will also need to submit a recent copy of your transcripts and 3 recommendations (2 core class teachers, 1 counselor).
