VADCDT State Transition Conference 2020 Call for Proposals Submission Deadline: February 15, 2020
The Virginia Division on Career Development and Transition is pleased to invite proposals from the professional community serving transitioning students and youth with disabilities in Virginia. We welcome researchers, educators, and professionals to share innovative research and practices that support meaningful postschool transition outcomes. Pre-service and classroom special educators, transition professionals, university faculty, researchers, and doctoral students are encouraged to submit their proposals. This year we are very excited to highlight the experiences of youth with disabilities and self-advocates. We welcome proposal submissions from transition-aged students with disabilities and self-advocates in each of the strands.
Triangulating Transition: Putting the Pieces Together (Post-secondary Goals, Partnerships & Planning/Assessments)
PROPOSAL FORMAT: Poster Presentation
Individuals or groups are encouraged to submit proposals for poster presentations to discuss with conference participants.
Proposals will be evaluated on the following 40 point scale:
1. Significance (20 pts.) Demonstrates success, supports meaningful outcomes, relevant practice and policy implications
2. Innovation (10 pts.) Creatively addresses an important topic, introduces new research or practices to advance the field
3. Quality (10 pts.) Well-written, clarity of description
