CCCPTA Grant Program
PTA/PTSA Leaders..... Do you have a great idea for your school’s PTA/PTSA? Chesterfield County Council of PTAs (CCCPTA) would like to help by providing funds to worthwhile programs that will strengthen the family-school partnership according to PTA’s National Standards. The goal of our Grant Program is to help school level local units in Chesterfield County partner and lead in family engagement.

What is the scope of these grants? CCCPTA has set aside $500 for the 2019-20 school year to award grants to our school level local units to support their projects, programs, and/or training. This amount may vary based on donations.

This year, we will offer grants to local units ranging from $100- $500. CCC PTA reserves the right not to award the full amount allocated should we fail to receive enough qualified applications or if the submitted projects are not a good fit for the grants.

How is the Grant Program funded? 100% of the funds utilized to award grants come from Chesterfield County, through funds raised by the CCCPTA, donations from school level local unit PTAs & PTSAs, and community donations.

Who can apply for a grant? Any local unit PTA/PTSA in good standing status with Chesterfield County Council PTA and Virginia PTA can apply. While local units may submit more than one grant application, each unit is eligible for only one CCC PTA grant per school year. Activities or expenses that are necessary to successfully involve all families, support efforts to grow, and become a stronger unit will qualify.

How do I apply?
1. Submit the online application below. Note that applications must be electronically signed by your PTA/PTSA President and School Principal.
2. Applicants will receive a grant application submission confirmation via the email entered on the application.
3. To the attention of CCCPTA at vpprograms@cccptas.com, applicants must forward their:

----- attachments of any relevant documentation supporting their grant application.

Application Deadline: Our Grant Program operates with a rolling deadline. Applications will be considered as they are submitted. Please allow at least 4 weeks.

How will my application be evaluated?
The grant requests will be evaluated by CCCPTA based on the following:
1. How the project supports family engagement in your community by promoting one or more of the six *PTA National Standards.
2. How well the grant supports your PTA’s goals and will help build your PTA’s capacity to support family engagement in the future. Special consideration will be given to:
* New & emerging PTAs – started less than 5 years ago, less than 100 members, or work in communities that have undergone significant changes;
* Local units who have not received recent grant funding from CCCPTA.
* PTAs working with significant numbers of families whose students are bilingual and/or participating in the Free & Reduced Lunch program.
