Request for Immigration Presentation
Thank you for your interest in learning more about our current immigration system. Please complete the form below to the best of your ability. We understand that details emerge and change and that you may not be able to answer every question at this time.

We will follow up with you after your request is received.

The goal of IJPC's immigration program is to engage immigrants, allies and the general public on the realities of our broken immigration system so that we can come together and advocate for comprehensive immigration reform. We have three main presentation options for you to choose from at this time, each with the ability to be customized:

1. Immigration 101 Presentation
-Defining "immigrant," "refugee," "asylum," "visa," "green cards," and other basic terms.
-Small group activity: The Immigration Game (a board game simulating the undocumented
and documented experience of immigrating to the United States)
-Short immigration story from one of our YES members (Youth Educating Society)
-Discussion about current events and current challenges facing the immigrant population in
Cincinnati

2. DACA & DREAM Act Presentation
-Explanation of the history of DACA and its current state
-Discussion about possible solutions, including the DREAM Act
-Concrete action steps to advocate for the DREAM Act
-Hearing one or two immigration stories from our YES members (Youth Educating Society)

3. YES Speakers Bureau
-IJPC's YES (Youth Educating Society) program has a diverse pool of trained speakers ready
to share their stories.
-YES members are of high school and college age and are immigrants, refugees and allies
working to educate the public about the realities of our broken immigration system.
-YES members have experience with DACA, having an undocumented family member, being
part of a mixed status family, navigating the path to citizenship, being the first U.S. born child
in their family, and much more.

Depending on the length of time for the presentation, we can go more in depth and have more meaningful discussion with the audience.
