SoCal POCIS Affinity Gathering 2022 RSVP Form
We are inviting ALL Southern California Independent School faculty, staff, and administrators to join us in an affinity group dialogue! Saturday, November 12th from 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm at The Wesley School, 4832 Tujunga Ave, North Hollywood, CA 91501.

We are honored to welcome back experts, Dr. Steven Jones and Dr. Shelly Tochluk. Our morning will begin with a whole group discussion, then
participants will break into two race-based affinity groups BIPOC and White Anti-Racist, to examine group dynamics and practice reflection. Lastly, we will reconvene as a whole group to reconnect and debrief.

Dr. Jones will lead the BIPOC group for a time of healing deepening understanding and moving towards restorative actions. The White Anti-Racist group will spend the day addressing anti-racism and activism.

Each year, our Affinity Gatherings provide an opportunity for us, as educators, to come together to share, learn and grow with people with whom we have a common identifier. Join us with an open mind and heart.
