課程內容 Course Description
- Fondant Embroidery 翻糖刺繡技巧
- 示範焗製傳統乾果蛋糕 (fruit cake)
When it comes to making a wedding cake, most people leave it to the professionals. Do you ever think you can make your own wedding cake or make one for your best friend? This hands-on 2-day workshop will help you understand the technique behind a beautiful looking wedding cake. The techniques can be used in the future to create a wedding cake of your own design for yourself or for your friends!
In this workshop you will learn:
- Fondant Embroidery techniques
- Demonstrate the baking of traditional fruit cake
- How to coat dummy cake with fondant
- Sugar Hydrangea and foliage making
*All tools and materials to be used in the classroom are provided.
*We will demonstrate the baking of traditional fruit cakes in the class only. Students will work with styrofoam dummy cake which can be kept for future reference.
導師簡介 Instructor's Profile
After years of administration and management job straight out of college, Shirley began to rethink her career choice and donned her chef jacket to begin her cake-designing journey. She firstly earned a Professional Certificate in Baker and Pastry Cook Training from Vocational Training Council of Hong Kong with the Best Performance Award. Having the background bakery techniques, She started learning cake baking and decoration as a hobby which is now her passion. Shirley has completed several professional certificate courses in Royal Icing and Sugar Flower in the UK and an Advanced Clay Art course In Taiwan.
Shirley has won a Bronze Prize of Professional Wedding Cake competition in HOFEX 2013, a Gold Award of "Class C: A Floral Arrangement" in ExCel London 2015 and a Silver Award of "Class N: Small Decorative Exhibit" in Cake International Birmingham 2017. She teaches cake decorating and clay art and is an accredited tutor for the PME Professional Diploma Course and is awarded Honorary Five Star Sugar Artist Medal in 2019.
Shirley於2013年HOFEX主辦的專業結婚蛋糕比賽中獲得銅牌獎、2015年ExCel London的Class C: A Floral Arrangement比賽中獲得金獎、2017年Cake International Birmingham的Class N: Small Decorative Exhibit比賽中獲得銀獎。她是英國PME專業文憑課程的認證導師及於2019年獲頒發PME五星糖藝師榮譽勛章。
