NC Composting Council's Compost Operations Training Course DEIA Scholarship Application
The North Carolina Composting Council (NCCC) has proudly hosted a Compost Operations Training Course (COTC) at NC State University in Raleigh, NC, for nearly a decade. This course is well-regarded within the industry and by past attendees as an asset for compost workers and enthusiasts, regardless of what segment of the industry or for what length of time they have been involved. In an effort to make this course more accessible, the NCCC is offering two scholarships that will waive 1/2 the fee for the week-long course; reducing it to $800. To be eligible for consideration, attendees must complete the following application. Note that some sections are optional but please be advised that this scholarship is intended for those who may not otherwise be able to afford it or belong to groups who who have historically experienced barriers to equal access. We wish to reach specifically indigenous people, people of color, those from rural communities, wage workers, and/or other underserved communities, such as women and/or LGBQT+ and/or minority-owned composting start-ups.  One scholarship will be awarded to a North Carolina resident, and the other scholarship is available to other applicants, wherever in the world they reside. If you have any questions regarding the application, please contact info@carolinacompost.com. Applications are due July 31st and awardees will be notified by August 15th.
