Thank you for your interest in joining our team!
BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE, please take a moment to learn about our team at
www.southfldisasterrelief.orgHow it works:
Throughout South Florida, we have established community "hubs" where people can go to find relief during and after disaster. Our goal is to staff these hubs with volunteers able to attend to medical needs when they arise. Individuals from other organizations will be staffing these hubs to attend to social, financial, and legal needs.
In the event of a disaster (hurricane, flooding, etc), we will staff these hubs from 10am to 4pm everyday. As a volunteer, you would be assigned to a hub for a 3-hour shift on a specific day (10am-1pm, or 1-4pm) and your job would be to assist that location in providing relief to those who gather there. You may also be asked to conduct community foot canvasses with a team to identify residents in need of medical services who are unable to come to the hub to seek help.
In addition, if you are interested in becoming a Hub Leader, your duties would increase to also ensuring that the hub remains staffed during the disaster by contacting volunteers who are assigned to that hub and making sure they are able to attend and provide relief.
We would love to have you join the team. Please take a minute to fill out the form below so we can add you to the list!
