Before completing the application, students should make sure to understand the requirements and have a sincere interest to pursue an externship. Please make sure all information is accurate and ready to submit. Once this application is complete, the Office of Skills and Experiential Learning will check Simplicity to download the most updated version of your resume, cover letter, transcript and writing sample. After submitting this application, Prof. Brown may request an internal interview, contact you by email or directly send your application materials to the field placement office. All students offered a tentative placement with federal judges must undergo a federal background check. Criminal history will not necessarily bar a student from consideration or placement. However, the judges have requested disclosure at this stage of the application process. Students who fail to disclose at this stage of the application will not be placed.
