Kōlea Count School Sign-up
Please help us enlist Hawaiʻiʻs students to participate in collecting data about these remarkable birds.  If you agree to join in this citizen science project, we ask that you record and report to the website (https://www.koleacount.org/report/):

1) ARRIVAL DATE - when a bird or birds arrive in your school grounds (July 1 - Nov 30)
2) BIG COUNT - report at least 3 times the number of birds wintering there (Dec 1 - March 31)
3) DEPARTURE DATE - the day the bird(s) leave for their Alaska breeding grounds (April and May).

The Hawaiʻi Audubon Society is offering a free Kōlea book, pictured below, to the first 25 educators who sign up their school (one book per school). To help with postage expense, we ask that Oahu-based educators arrange for curbside pick-up of the book.  We will mail books to neighbor islands.
