Family Series -- DPS GT Department -- RSVP 24-25
This form is to RSVP for the individual sessions of the Family Series put on by the DPS Gifted and Talented Department for the 24-25 school year. 

We welcome any families and students (5th grade and higher). 

If you need interpretations, please tell us below.  We will be working with DPS Interpretations and have interpreters at the events if you request them for the following languages: Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, Dari, French, Nepali, Somali, Vietnamese. 

Gifted and Talented: Social and Emotional Needs October 10th at 5 p.m.
This session will provide an overview of common social emotional needs and experiences for gifted and talented youth.  Time for sharing, questions, and resources will be shared.
Habits for Success November 14th at 5 p.m.

We will look at ways to break bad habits and manage stress.  With those lenses we’ll take a closer look at self advocacy strategies and organizational tools. Expect a student panel, too, sharing their struggles and successes.

Newly Identified ME and Gifted Students- Now What?  January 9th at 5 p.m.
In this session we will be focusing our discussion on newly identified magnet eligible or newly identified gifted/talented students and their families.  We will share information on terminology, services, and family questions.
Gifted and Disabled- Twice Exceptionality February 13th at 5 p.m.
This session will discuss twice exceptionality and common disability/giftedness patterns, resources, and tools for support.  Time for small group work and family sharing is also included.
Gifted Multilanguage Learner Needs March 13th at 5 p.m.
During our time together, we will discuss gifted multilanguage learner common experiences, suggestions, and supports.  Time for family and group sharing is included.  Clarifications will be in both English and Spanish as requested.
Unhealthy Perfectionism  April 10th at 5 p.m.
Perfectionism is a trait that is common for gifted learners and can lead to challenging outcomes.  We will dive more deeply into how perfectionism not only impacts the learner, but how it can also impact family and friends.  Resources and discussions will be part of our time together.
