Rhode Island Farm Offer Form
Southside Community Land Trust is working with partners around the state to help connect people seeking farmland with landowners leasing or selling their farmland. Please complete this form to be added to the list of those offering farm land. Keep in mind that there are farm seekers looking for land parcels from .25 - 50+ acres, so all land suitable for some type of agriculture is welcomed, as well as different land tenure options (short term lease, long term lease, lease-to-own, and purchase).
This information will be used as a tool for the partners of the Land Access Working Group to compile and organize information.
Once you have filled out this form, you may be contacted by a project partner for further or clarifying information. We will solicit brief proposals from prospective farmers on our Farm Seeker List that fit your parameters for space and type of agriculture, which we will assemble and send along to you.
It will be your responsibility to read through the proposals and follow up with prospective farmers on your own. However, the project partners of the Land Access Working Group are available as support and to share resources during the matching process. Specifically, Land For Good is an organization designed to help with these processes.
The LAWG project partners include: SCLT, Young Farmer Network, The Nature Conservancy of Rhode Island, RI Department of Environmental Management, RI Land Trust Council, Northern RI Conservation District, Land For Good.
