Grinnell Small Business Relief Fund (GSBR)
In the wake of COVID-19, the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce is launching the Grinnell Small Business Relief Fund (GSBR) as a way to support our locally-owned small businesses. We recognize that the next several weeks will yield many unknowns, challenges and potential financial hardships for small businesses.
Kick-started by two $25,000 gifts from Grinnell Mutual and Grinnell College, the goal is to provide small businesses with interim funds to keep their businesses viable during this public health emergency. To help add to the GSBR, please visit
and submit payment, or send a check made payable to the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce to 833 4th Avenue, PO Box 538, Grinnell, IA 50112.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee consisting of Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce staff and board members, and GSBR program investors. Grants will generally range between $500 & $2500, and will help to cover actual out-of-pocket expenses and ongoing business expenses, but are not intended to replace a loss of actual or anticipated revenue. To seek funds please complete the following form.
Eligibility: Businesses must be a current member of the Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce (effective 3/18/20) OR be in the Grinnell 50112 zip code.
Please note: we are not requiring chamber membership for participation in this fund, though preference will be given to current chamber members and/or businesses that have not received funds previously, pending availability.
