WHAT DOES BEING AN AMBASSADOR INVOLVE?
Ambassadors are considered volunteers because they are contributing to advancing the sustainability of their communities through their personal development and contributions to local projects.
KEY ACTIVITIES OF THE PROGRAM:
Educate community members through presentations, outreach events, and accessible educational materials
Collaborate and network with experienced climate, conservation, and sustainability professionals
Engage in hands-on activities such as native planting, community garden support, or green space stewardship
Develop leadership and public speaking skills through facilitating discussions and community engagement
Learn and share practical strategies for climate adaptation and community actions
Attend monthly trainings and partner-led sessions on issues that impact your community
PROGRAM SESSIONS AND TIMELINE:
The Ambassadors for Climate Action Program runs in Fall and Spring.
Honorarium Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Required Meetings:
Orientation: Monday, February 9, 7:00 - 8:15 pm
Planning Meeting - Second Mondays, 7:00 - 8:15 pm
Check-in/Training - Fourth Mondays, 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm
Time Commitment Overview: 6 hours per month
