SBCTC - System Facilitated Workshops
IYOC Description: The “Improving Your Online Course” workshop explores the QM Rubric and provides a framework to improve the quality of online and blended courses. Participants will use the QM Rubric to review their own course and develop a course improvement plan.
APPQMR Description: The Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) workshop is QM's flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and the process of using the QM Rubric to review online courses. Participants will use the QM rubric to review an example course.
SBCTC funds only the system workshops listed above. While the training is offered free to 1st time participants, it is not actually free. SBCTC pays the workshop facilitators plus a technology fee to Quality Matters for each registered participant regardless of completion, a value of $150 to you, so please help us preserve our precious state dollars and let us know before class begins if you will not be able to participate.
Only Washington State CTC system faculty and staff may participate in this program.

Participants will be sent a confirmation email after their sign-up has been processed. Please note that this may take several weeks.
To allow adequate time for processing, please submit your sign-up at least 7-14 days prior to the start date of the requested workshop.
*Refunds cannot be processed after a workshop begins. Cancellations/withdraws must be requested a minimum of 2 business days BEFORE the workshop start date. Tuition for cancellations requested after this date will be billed to the participant or to their college.

APPQMR - Yes, there is no pre-requisite for taking the APPQMR.
IYOC - Yes, I have a fully developed hybrid or online course I'd like to improve which is required for taking the IYOC.
