A Group Use or Land Use Permit Application for conservation land or trails is required for the following situations:
--a group of ten (10) or more people
--a group of five (5) or more unrelated bikers
--a group of five (5) or more horseback riders
--certain activities which are normally prohibited (requires a "land use" permit)
--commercial use or other use not addressed in the “Regulations for Use of Lincoln Conservation Land”
Examples of events that require a group use permit include trail races, organized hikes, ski races, weddings, picnics or other celebrations.
Our conservation land is overseen and owned by multiple entities, so this form will be sent to both the Town of Lincoln Conservation Department and the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust. You will receive a response from the relevant organization(s) once this form has been submitted.

Permit applications should be submitted 2 weeks prior in advance of the intended use, however, staff will make every effort to review permits even if submitted on very short notice. Written permits need to be in the possession of applicant during use of the property. Permits can be revoked if regulations or special conditions are not followed and are only valid for the approved dates indicated below. Signed copies of the permit will be given to the applicant and to the Police Department.
The Conservation Commission and the Lincoln Land Conservation Trust reserve the right to refuse any uses that are potentially damaging to the conservation values of our open space. The Town of Lincoln and Lincoln Land Conservation Trust cannot assume any liability for injuries or damage to users' property while on Town Conservation Lands; persons entering thereon do so at their own risk.
