Global Village
Global Village is a 2-day cultural exhibition hosted at the Student Union Building, aimed to bring focus to and to create space for the celebration of the cultural diversity shared amongst the University of Victoria student body.
Events include:
Pavilion, a day-long tabling, food, and cultural fair hosted in the Michele Pujol Room on February 6th.
Pulse Showcase, a variety show and dance party hosted the evening of February 7th from 6pm until midnight.
Guidelines
This form is for students interested in representing their community to apply for a table at the Pavilion, running 10am - 4pm on February 6th. Participants are expected to use the table for the majority of the day. We will work with applicants to make their ideas fit into the resources we can offer through the Global Village. Ideas for tabling include:
Sharing poetry, writing, or history
Bringing food to share (Please bring an ingredients list!)
Displaying and sharing pieces of your culture
Teaching and playing games from with attendees (Such as Xiangqi or Carrom)
If your idea does not fall into any of these categories, we would be happy to work with you to fit your work into the Pavilion!
