The conference in Black Mountain, NC is an assembly of over 700 Youth in Government participants from around the country. They are selected by their home states to write and debate proposed solutions to problems of national and international importance. In Michigan, 25 YIG delegates will be selected to attend this respected conference. In order to be eligible to attend the conference, your application must be completed, your references completed by April 1, 2017.
It is important that each applicant know what it means to be a Michigan delegate to the YMCA Youth Conference on National Affairs. If selected, you will be expected to attend delegation meetings between the time of your selection and departure for Washington D.C. and North Carolina. This commitment will include a meeting designed to make you more aware of the goals and objectives for the conference.
