This intake allows us to understand the academic, executive function, or performance challenges you’re navigating and determine the appropriate starting point.

We serve students and adults across the New York City metro area, including NYC, Westchester, Long Island, sections of New Jersey close to NYC, and nearby Connecticut communities. We also provide remote services and limited support in the Boston area.

After reviewing your submission, we’ll schedule a brief phone consultation to clarify goals, context, and implementation needs.

Following that conversation, we’ll introduce you to the appropriate team member and offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation before sessions begin.

Our approach is structured, performance-focused, and designed to ensure alignment from the outset.

Name:Ā  *
2. What’s the best phone number to reach you—and when should we call or text?Ā
(If you're providing a landline, please let us know so we don’t text it!)
*
3. What is your email address?Ā
(We will never spam you.)
*
4. Are you a parent? If so, what is your child’s grade?
(If you're an adult or college student, just write that in.)
*
5. Where should sessions take place?
We’re aĀ traveling service — we don’t have a physical office. Our team provides one-on-one support throughout theĀ New York City metro area, including:

• All five NYC boroughs
• Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut
• The Boston area (Cambridge & Somerville)
• Select areas in Putnam and Dutchess Counties, NY

We also offerĀ remoteĀ andĀ hybridĀ options if that’s your preference.
If you’d likeĀ in-person sessions, please share yourĀ zip codeĀ (andĀ nearest cross streets, if you’d like). This helps us match you with the best tutor or therapist in your area.
*
6. What kind of support are you looking for?
This helps us understand the services you’re seeking. For parents, try to describe what your child is struggling with—academically, behaviorally, or organizationally.
*
7. What does your child (or you) need help with?
Please write in all applicable subjects, areas, or goals. For example: reading comprehension, ADHD support, writing structure, time management, etc.
*
8. What days and times usually work best for sessions?
We offer services seven days a week. Most of our staff is available on weekdays. Weekend options are possible but more limited.
*
9. What type of professional are you looking for?
Select as many options as you'd like. We’ll guide you based on your goals, budget, and staff availability.

We don’t base pricing on where someone went to school—no Ivy League premium hereĀ šŸ˜„. Instead, our rates reflect the level of training our professionals have, their area of expertise, and their travel requirements.

āš ļøĀ Please note: Bachelor's-level tutors do not offer executive function coaching. They’re best suited for straightforward academic tutoring. All of our educators are highly qualified, and we reserve cases that are less straightforward for those with master’s or doctoral-level training.
*
10. When would you like to get started?
(ASAP, next week, after school starts, etc.)
*
11.Ā Do you have a preference for the gender of your tutor or coach?
If you have any gender preferences, please feel free to share them. Our goal is to make the best possible match for you and your family.
*
12. How did you hear about Themba Tutors?
If someone referred you, please share theirĀ name and roleĀ (for example: teacher, therapist, school administrator, parent, friend, doctor, etc.). Any details you can provide are helpful.
šŸŽ‰Ā That’s it—thank you!
We’ll review your answers and follow up shortly.Ā
