Legislative Steering Committee (LSC) 2021-2022
Thank you for your interest in applying for the 2021-2022 Legislative Steering Committee (LSC)!

During Fall Quarter, committee members will work in a collaborative environment to decide which issues will be included in the legislative agenda for the Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW) for the upcoming 2022 state legislative session. The legislative agenda is the guiding document for ASUW lobbying priorities in the state legislature. During Winter Quarter, remaining committee members will have the opportunity to continue their work on legislative agenda items by assisting the Director of Legislative Affairs with their work in the state legislature. Projects will include conducting policy research, preparing policy briefs, conducting stakeholder outreach, and more.

Applicants must be available for Fall Quarter 2021. Meeting times will be scheduled after committee members have been selected. No special knowledge or experience is required - just an interest in policy and student issues!

Please reach out to asuwogr@uw.edu with any questions!

The final application deadline is May 14th at 11:59 pm.
