Grant Application for 2019 WAIE Conference
Welcome to the Wisconsin Association of International Educators conference grant application form.

The deadline for submission is Friday, December 7, 2018. Notification of awards will be emailed to applicants no later than Monday, January 7, 2019. You must be a WAIE member to be awarded a grant. If you are not a WAIE member, then please join now at http://www.waieonline.org/become-a-member. The membership is free.

The grant awards will be given in two categories:

1. A conference registration grant for community members and full-time students ($80, which is the early-bird rate). Grant recipients who register after the early-bird deadline of March 15, 2019 will be responsible for the difference.

2. A conference registration grant for full or part-time professionals, support staff, and high school representatives ($135, which is the early-bird rate). Grant recipients who register after the early-bird deadline of March 15, 2019 will be responsible for the difference.

Please use the following guidelines when preparing your statement of purpose.
FULL OR PART-TIME PROFESSIONAL OR SUPPORT STAFF MEMBER: Must work in an international education environment. Submit a statement of purpose describing your interest in the conference and how your participation will benefit you personally and professionally.

COMMUNITY MEMBER: Describe your volunteer activities and commitment to fostering international educational exchange through community involvement.

FULL-TIME STUDENT: Must work in or volunteer with an international office/organization or be interested in working in international education upon graduation. Submit a statement of purpose describing your interest in the conference and how your participation will benefit you personally and professionally.

HIGH SCHOOL PROFESSIONAL: Must work in a high school and have responsibilities directly related to immigration reporting, cultural adjustment, international students advising/programming, or managing a study abroad experience. Submit a statement of purpose describing your interest in the conference and how your participation will benefit you personally and professionally.

PREFERENCE will be give to first-time attendees and to those who plan to submit a conference proposal.

YOU MUST SUBMIT PAYMENT FOR THE CONFERENCE FEE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. THE REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE REIMBURSED TO GRANT WINNERS FOLLOWING THE CONFERENCE.
