Annual Meeting Applications
For existing units of the Annual Meeting pursuing renewal, this form is due no later than September 1 of the final year of the unit's current term. For example, if a unit expires after the 2019 Annual Meeting, this form is due on September 1, 2019.

For new unit applications for the Annual Meeting, this form is due on January 15 of the year of the unit's first term. For example, if the unit intends to organize its first session(s) at the 2020 Annual Meeting, the form is due no later than January 15, 2020. Please note that new units will not have recourse to the call for papers in their first year.

Please note that all proposals are evaluated collectively and comparatively and according to the criteria for review in the Annual Meeting Program Unit Chair Handbook, available on the SBL website at http://www.sbl-site.org/meetings/programunits.aspx.


International Meeting Applications
For existing units of the International Meeting pursuing renewal, this form is due no later than September 1 of the final year of the unit's current term. For example, if a unit's term expires after the 2019 International Meeting, this form is due on September 1, 2019.

For new unit applications for the International Meeting, this form is due no later than September 1 of the year prior to the meeting of the proposed start date. For example, the application for a program unit whose first meeting will be the 2020 International Meeting is due on September 1, 2019.
