AU National Advocacy Summit Young Adult Travel Grants
AU is committed to ensuring young adults from underrepresented groups are able to attend the National Advocacy Summit.
Limited travel grants are available to cover airfare and/or 2-3 nights lodging at the conference hotel. Grants do not cover conference registration ($25), ground transportation, meals not provided as part of the conference, and other incidentals.
Travel grants are open to anyone 18 and older enrolled in a college, university, or graduate program and young people ages 18-25 who are not enrolled in college or university.
Grant recipients will be chosen by December 13, 2019 based on answers to the survey questions and other criteria to ensure diverse attendance - with special attention to racial diversity. Underrepresented young people - including people of color, LGBTQ people, religious minorities, and people from underrepresented geographies are especially encouraged to apply. While not a requirement, preference will be given to young adults who have been previously involved with AU.
