In the past we've shown collages, parlour games, games that you play with light-up gloves or an LED strip or an old map or a book or a phone or a computer or a deck of cards - the whole range.
At the moment we're looking for games for a few different parts of the festival:
* an EXHIBITION that runs throughout the festival - for this it's really important that the games work well in a public setting, so single-player games that take an hour to play, for example, are likely to be difficult. For these games we're able to pay an artist fee of £75 and some production costs. Games in all forms are welcome.
* HALF-DAY SHOWCASES themed around new parlour games, strange controllers, and performance. For these we're able to pay an artist fee of £50 and some production costs.
* DROP-IN GAMES which run for a few hours at some point over the weekend, in a special section which changes throughout the festival. We're not able to pay an artist fee for these but we'll provide appropriate tech. We're expecting most of these to be digital games, but of course non-digital is also fine.
If you've got a game that you'd like to show and you think might be a good fit, please fill in this form! (It should only take a few minutes - we just need enough information to understand your game; if it's taking you an hour to fill this in you're probably overthinking it!)
