Mijente is sounding a call, as they have been asked to do by members and partners, because they have a base of Latinx folks (many undocumented) who have been fighting on the frontlines of crimmigration (criminalization+immigration) for many years. The Jewish Resistance is answering their call.

Mijente are calling for massive numbers to join them in San Diego on July 2nd to disrupt Operation Streamline, a program designed to prosecute dozens if not hundreds of undocumented immigrants at the same time with incredibly harsh penalties, already in use in Texas and Arizona. July 2nd is the day it opens in California, and we want to shut it down before it even starts.

The worst moments in human history, including against our own Jewish communities, were not inevitable, and we the people are not doomed to repeat them. We can be part of a bold, courageous mass movement to challenge the unchecked power of this administration and its policies, and bring an end to this terrible chapter in this country’s life.
