Taupō Camp 2020 - Greytown Campsite, 24th-28th February 2020

Greetings to current and future Taupo Syndicate families!

Planning is already well underway for ‘Taupo Camp 2020’ and we are very excited about attending it with your children. ‘Taupo Camp 2020’ is going to be an action packed 3 days where children will have lots of opportunities to get to know their new classmates as well as take part in a variety of fun activities. On day two of each camp we are going to walk the exciting ‘Patuna Farm Chasm Walk’ (www.patunafarm.co.nz/ ...along the Ruakokoputuna river near Martinborough) and experience the beauty of the native bush and limestone gorge.

Could you please fill in the Parents/Guardians permission form below and let us know if you are interested in being a parent helper on your child’s camp. Please note you will need to commit to being a parent helper for the duration of the camp. At this time of the year you will not know which camp your child is going on so we are just asking for expressions of interest at this stage.

A detailed timetable/equipment list etc will come home at the beginning of Term 1 2020.

We will also require assistance with transporting children to and from the Patuna Farm Chasm Walk on day two of each of the camps. We also require tents and cooking equipment to be supplied where possible as students will be expected to design their own menus from start to finish. Please indicate on the form if you are able to help in this way.

Dates for camp:

Week 4 Camp 1: Room 14, 16 & 17 24th - 26th February 2020
Week 4 Camp 2: Room 15 & 18 26th - 28th February 2020

Postponement Dates:

Week 5 Camp 1: Room 14, 16 & 17 2nd - 4th March 2020
Week 5 Camp 2: Room 15 & 18 4th - 6th March 2020

A camp meeting will be held on the 10th February 2020 @ 7pm, in the staffroom for all parents who are coming on the camps.

Many thanks,

Taupo Team
