Thank you for your interest in the City of Walnut Creek’s Art+ Rec Department’s scholarships. Arts & Recreation partners with the Community Arts Foundation, the Clay Arts Guild, Diablo Regional Arts
Association and other generous donors to offer financial aid scholarships for low and moderate income Contra Costa County residents.
Scholarship applications are accepted for quarterly classes or events, preschool, camps, private music lessons, aquatics lessons or passes. You can apply for up to one scholarship each quarter for each individual in your family.
Applications for scholarships are available several weeks before registration opens, which is helpful for some programs that fill up quickly. Awards may vary from quarter to quarter, based on availability of funds. All application information will be kept confidential.
Please complete this form to start the scholarship application process. An Arts + Rec team member will contact you to let you know the status of your application, typically within 7-10 days after your application has been submitted.
Please then click on “sign up” under the Arts and
Recreation logo to create your account. Should you receive a scholarship, our
staff will be able to add scholarship funds as a subsidy to your account that
can be applied to a class.

Please note: To make the scholarship process easier for users, you no longer have to submit proof of income documentation with your application. You may be asked to provide proof of income documentation upon request at a later time.
