Thanks for your interest in volunteering with Urban Run Club SATX!
We’re a community-run club powered by volunteers, and we’d love your support.

Volunteer roles include:

  • Meet-up Coordinator/Lead – help organize meet-ups (you choose location, dates & time)
  • Pacers – lead groups at various paces, motivate, and keep runs on track
  • Warm-Up Leaders – lead stretches before/after runs (fitness experience preferred)
  • Logistics Support – help with setup or cleanup at events
  • Hosting Support – greet participants, direct parking, socialize before runs
  • Event Coordinator – assist with planning events
  • Social Media Moderator – support online presence on Facebook & Instagram
  • GroupMe Chat Moderator – help manage group chats
  • SweatPals Management – Post events and keep the SweatPals calendar updated
  • Canva Schedule Creator – Design and update event schedules in Canva for sharing.

**Urban Run Club SATX Volunteer Code of Conduct**

As a volunteer with Urban Run Club SATX, you play a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants. To ensure our events are enjoyable and supportive for everyone, please adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

**1. Respect and Inclusivity**
- Treat all participants, fellow volunteers, and community members with respect and kindness, regardless of race, gender, age, ability, or background.
- Promote an inclusive environment by welcoming everyone and encouraging participation from people of all walks of life.

**2. Safety First**
- Prioritize the safety of all participants by following event safety guidelines and protocols.
- Report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents to the event organizers immediately.
- Be aware of your surroundings and help guide participants safely through the event.

 **3. Professionalism and Integrity**
- Arrive on time for your volunteer duties and be prepared to fulfill your responsibilities to the best of your ability.
- Represent Urban Run Club SATX with integrity, maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
- Abstain from any behavior that could be perceived as inappropriate, discriminatory, or harmful.

 **4. Communication**
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with participants, other volunteers, and event organizers.
- Listen actively and be open to feedback or instructions from the event leadership team.
- Provide accurate information to participants and direct any questions you cannot answer to the appropriate person.

**5. Commitment to Community**
- Support the mission of Urban Run Club SATX by actively engaging with the community and helping to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Encourage a sense of camaraderie among participants and help build connections within the community.

 **6. Confidentiality and Privacy**
- Respect the privacy of participants by not sharing personal information without consent.
- Maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information you may encounter in your role as a volunteer.

 **7. Zero Tolerance for Harassment or Discrimination**
- Urban Run Club SATX has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying. Such behavior will result in immediate removal from volunteer duties and potential barring from future events.

 **8. Lead by Example**
- As a volunteer, you are a role model for participants. Demonstrate good sportsmanship, encourage others, and uphold the values of the Urban Run Club SATX.
