THE DR. ALICIA HOLLAND SCHOLARSHIP is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. Four Scholars are selected each year to receive an annual scholarship ranging from $500 to $1000. The application for this scholarship is now open for the 2016-2017 program cycle.
Qualifications> Be a graduated high school senior> Meet requirements of joining college or university for higher studies for the selected study program
Applicants they must meet the following Eligibility Requirements:• Meet requirements of joining college or university for higher studies for the anticipated study program• Current high school (or home-schooled) seniors attending school in the United States.(U.S Applicants)• Anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application;• Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited post-secondary institution;• Carrying a minimum 3.00 GPA at the end of their junior year of high school or equivalent grade• Have at least a 21 or higher on their ACT test or at least a SAT Score of 1096.(U.S Applicants)• Provide documentation of active community service.
Applicants may NOT:
• Be children or grandchildren of employees, officers or owners of iGlobal Educational Services, Company divisions or subsidiaries.
All scholarship applications and requested materials must be received at iGlobal Educational Services by ##### of each year. If the deadline falls on a weekend, the following Monday will be used as the deadline date.
iGlobal Educational Services will not acknowledge receipt of applications. If you want to verify it was received send the application via Certified U.S. mail or any carrier that has tracking ability or email us via #####. Faxes are NOT accepted.
Notification to Recipients
All scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of March each year. We cannot send out lists of recipients to those who do not receive a scholarship. We only notify recipients, no notification means the student did not receive the scholarship.
The following items are required to complete the application process. These items MUST be submitted in a single envelope in the order listed. All items received separately will be discarded. Any additional items will be discarded.
o Application - must be on the original form, typed and signed.o Statement of purpose stating how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals. (2 pages maximum.)o 2 Letters of recommendation from professional, teacher or school official.o 1 Letter of recommendation from a community leader.o High School transcript. Transcript must be from school, but not necessarily in an official sealed envelope. Transcripts must include your class rank. If it does not, please have your school counselor or other designated school official to include a letter on school letterhead certifying your class rank at the time of application.o Copy of High School Diplomao GPA stated on application must be verifiable from transcript. Transcripts must have school name printed on it.o 2 additional copy of all above items must be included. Copy must blind all references to the students name and address.o Any other relevant material that certifies achievement.
