The Monroe County Youth Council invites teens throughout the area to engage in a day of service at the Youth Services Bureau of Monroe County!  Volunteers will help make sure that YSB Binkley House Youth Shelter residents have to access a beautiful and welcoming outdoor garden space! 

Participants will work together to clean and improve the outdoor area surrounding the youth shelter by:
  • weeding garden beds
  • refreshing soil in garden beds
  • planting flowers, vegetables, and herbs in garden beds 
  • planting hanging planters outside the shelter
  • decorating sidewalks with art for residents

Supplies will be provided for participants, but feel free to bring your own gardening gloves if preferred. Snacks and water supplied as well! We will be outside for the entirety of the project, please dress appropriately for the weather, getting dirty, and moderate physical activity.
