We Value Wellness. Wellness is the freedom to move fluidly through the cycles of being human; it is a state of action, not a state of being. We understand we cannot fulfill our purpose and serve others if we are not well. We embody self-care and work-life balance by asking for help and designating time for work, rest, connection, and play. We do not work during time off. We share, celebrate, and support one another’s personal hobbies, interests, achievements, & goals.

We Never Stop Learning. We share our failures and successes with others, and learn and grow from them. We seek, give, & receive feedback from our team and others. We disown “because we have always done it this way” reasoning. We seek out and attend professional learning opportunities to continually rethink, grow, spark innovation, and stay up to date on the latest evidence-based literacy practices.

We Are Disciplined People. We have disciplined thought and action; we set and meet realistic deadlines and remain flexible as the work gets done. We put forth our best effort and follow through on commitments and projects so that we are proud of the work we do. We are committed to science, research, and evidence-based practices. We believe in moving ever forward - in continued self-initiated change, improvement, learning, and advancement to serve others in our just cause.

We Make A Contribution Impact. We are a team of high performers because we help one another grow. We contribute meaningful work to our team and those we serve. We are humane, humble, generous, & grateful. We seek and fulfill opportunities to give back/share with our team, partners, community, and the world. Please share how you currently make a contribution impact, and/or how you envision you could make one with RLD:

At RLD, we believe in placing current educators who are trained in evidence-based literacy practices in front of others in their role.

Select which role are you applying for at RLD:

Practitioner: An educator who delivers instruction directly to students. Practitioner roles include K-12 classroom teachers, special educators, teacher assistants, paraprofessionals, MLL specialists, reading specialists, interventionists, and tutors.

Coach: An educator who supports and coaches practitioners. Coach roles include instructional coaches, literacy coaches, reading specialists, facilitators, MLL directors, special education directors, deans, & lead teachers.

Administrator: An educator in an administrative role; one who leads school/district level strategic planning and implementation. School administrators roles include directors, principals, vice principals, and deans.
