We would like to bring to your attention a Call for Minisymposia for the Latin American Conference on Complex Networks, to be held at Cartagena, Colombia from 6 to 9 August 2019.
A Minisymposium consists of a special session, within the LANET conference, about a specific topic related to Network Science and their Applications. The duration of the Minisymposium is 2 hours and it contains four talks of a selected group of 4 leading scientists about the topic of the Minisymposium. Exceptionally, a 4 hours Minisymposium will be accepted. LANET will provide the local organization support (room, projectors, computers and coffee breaks) and the Minisymposium Organizers will take care of the speakers, their presentations and the internal schedule. Note that LANET will not cover the expenses of the invited speakers of the Minisymposium nor their Registration Fees. As compensation, one registration waiver will be given to the Minisymposium Organizers who could decide how to use it.

How to Submit Proposals:
We invite you to submit a proposal for a satellite symposium including Title, Topic (brief summary of less than 1000 words) and Format (number of speakers, invited vs. contributed, number of participants, length, preliminary program), and a preliminary list of speakers (also indicating whether they have been contacted and/or whether they have accepted).

Important Dates
- An opening of the call for satellites symposium: November 16th, 2018
- Deadline for proposals: February 14th, 2019
- Notification of acceptance: February 24th, 2019

Information Concerning the Satellite Meetings:
- Dates of the Satellite Symposia: Wednesday (August 7th) and Thursday (August 8th) 2019.
- Location Conference Venue: Universidad de Los Andes' Caribbean headquarters
- Food/drinks and coffee breaks will be provided.
- A rule of no-repetition of the same talk across different satellites and the main conference will be enforced.
