NCHO and Louisburg College invite YOU (and your peers) to present at the annual RA Drive-In Conference on October 14, 2017. Presenting at a conference is great for your professional development! It allows you to share your ideas, network with others, and better prepares you for future public speaking endeavors. We strongly encourage RAs to present; however, professional staff/advisers are also welcome to submit programs!
There are no specific restrictions on what you are able to present; however, the theme for this year's RA Drive-In Conference is LEGACY - we invite, and empower, you to incorporate this theme into your presentation. Please limit presenters to 4 or less. There are no restrictions on the number of programs submitted per institution.
Just a few ideas to consider:What programs or events have you implemented that make a difference on your campus? How have you built positive communities in your residential areas? Do you have tips for "self-care" so that we can be at our best to serve others? How have you contributed to the larger community through your experience as a RA?
PROGRAMS ARE TIMED, NO MORE THAN 50 MINUTES.
Review of programs will continue on a rolling basis. The Host Committee (comprised of professional staff and RAs) will review the programs and contact presenters via email listed on this form, informing them of whether or not their proposal has been accepted.
DEADLINE FOR PROGRAM SUBMISSIONS: Extended (preferred date, September 29th; deadline October 9th)REVIEW, SELECTION, & NOTIFICATION OF PROGRAMS: No later than October 9th.During closing ceremonies, "BEST PROGRAM" for each session (total of 4) will be awarded. Awards determined after review of peer assessments.
