This application will take 45 minutes to an hour to complete. You will not be able to return to this application after closing out of it. PROGRAM DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
The BMUF Aspiring Farmer Residency begins January 1st, 2019 and concludes December 8th, 2019. Please be sure you can make this year long commitment before applying.

You are encouraged to perform at least 20hr/wk of farm work during your residency. In exchange, residents are provided with a fully furnished room in a newly renovated house. You can expect safe, secure housing, farm-produced food and communal provisions of toiletries and soap. You are expected to be pursuing your education of agriculture and how to run a successful, sustainable farming operation while you are living at Big Muddy. Common courtesy, respect, and understanding will be expected of you so that a harmonious and productive environment may be maintained.
To successfully complete the program, you will complete up to 1,000 hours of on-farm time, submit weekly bookkeeping forms, and attend 3 mentorship experiences on rural farms. At the end of this experience you will receive a personalized publication of what you have recorded, learned and developed for any future farming aspirations.
