Children's Memorial Stone Form
Based on an idea created by Rick Harrington after his son's death, and with his involvement and support, the Martha's Vineyard Museum created the Lighthouse Children's Memorial in 2001 to memorialize children who have passed away. The Memorial is placed at the base of the Edgartown Light, a beacon of safety and hope. Stones are placed twice yearly, in the late spring and in late summer. We hold an annual Ceremony of Remembrance, to honor all of the children, each year in September.

If you would like to purchase a stone, please fill out the form below. The cost of a stone is $400.

Stones purchased through now through March 2025 will be installed in May 2025.
