Working with professional directors, designers, and artists, students apply classroom training to the stage, learn rehearsal process and etiquette, and the discipline of performance. A play is a big commitment. Students should attend every rehearsal (conflicts must be listed at time of audition), meet memorization deadlines, and come to rehearsal prepared for the day. By William Shakespeare
A story of mistaken identities and love at first sight, “Twelfth Night” is the original romantic comedy. During a violent storm, Twins, Viola and Sebastian, are separated in a strange new land. Having survived a shipwreck and believing her brother Sebastian has been lost, Viola falls hopelessly in love with Duke Orsino and disguises herself as a man to enter his services. From there mistaken identities and misplaced love abounds as told through poetic soliloquies and hilarious farce.
