Have you spoken to your advisor and received their approval before submitting this Bruin Plaza request? *
Do you understand that if given a reservation, you will receive an EOL to the email associated to your signatory information?

Once received, you must fill out the EOL.

Failure to fill out and submit an EOL on time can lead to the cancellation of your reservation request.

Next steps after EOL is approved by university officials if you have specific event needs:
  1. Schedule a meeting with an ASUCLA reservationist at least 7 DAYS before your event to discuss possible event layouts and any event needs.
  2. After you meet with them, obtain a MANDATORY Temporary Event Permit from the University Fire Marshal. Office is located on Strathmore Building (south west corner of Strathmore Ave. & Westwood Plaza) on the 4th floor. More info.
  3. For your meeting with the Fire Marshal, bring the following: (1) TWO copies of your actual event venue diagram, which includes the ASUCLA time/date and approval stamp and has your event set up and Bruin Plaza space location assigned on your EOL, (2) authorization/knowledge to speak about the equipment/set up you intend to use, and (3) bring a copy of your approved EH&S Health Programs "food permit". If food will be sold in event, you NEED to have this permit ready. Click for food permit info.
Amplified sound available 12noon to 1 PM ONLY. Arrangements for sound equipment are done through ASUCLA Student Union Events Services.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, CONTACT YOUR ADVISOR.

Due to a high volume of submissions, please wait around max 10 business days (not including holiday breaks) to hear back.
For any Bruin Plaza costs from ASUCLA Event Services (i.e. tables, chairs, sound equipment), you can apply to the ASUCLA Student Union Event Funding due 30 days before your event. Speak to your advisor for any other funding opportunities.
You can start submitting reservation requests for winter quarter. Winter quarter tends to have rainy season so plan accordingly.
