Important Information
What is the purpose of Project EOG?
The purpose of Project EOG is to tutor students who are not successfully passing the NC EOG to achieve higher standards through tutoring on the actual EOG to pass with a score of 3 or above.

What about transportation?
It is the responsibility of the parents to provide transportation for the student to attend all sessions. YAMM does not provide transportation. We do welcome parent carpools. Please speak with the program coordinator about carpooling.

Who are the tutors?
Tutors are Forsyth County residents, Guilford County residents, university students and high school from a variety of different backgrounds. Mentors have a variety of motivations for getting involved with the program. We make sure all tutors want to be a positive role model in a child’s life.

What is the snow schedule?
We operate on the WSFCS snow calendar. Therefore, if the WSFCS has canceled school due to inclement weather, we will not run Project EOG.

What should I do if my child cannot attend a tutoring session?
It is advised to make sure your student attends all open tutoring sessions as we have a waiting list of students. If your child misses 3 consecutive sessions, your student will be dismissed from the program and replaced with a student on our waiting list. If your student misses more then 3 of the scheduled month's tutoring sessions in any 2 consecutive months, your student will be dismissed from the program and replaced with a student on our waiting list.

What if a family plans conflict with a meeting?
The tutoring sessions will complement or add to family opportunities. Time in tutoring sessions is not intended to displace time with the family. You should continue your normal family plans.
