Thank you so much for your interest in being a Read Freely Project Volunteer for the 2025 Campaign. We are so glad that you want to be a part of this project. Our right to read, widely and without constraint or censorship - from authors outside our experience, to the unknown and unexpected—is no freedom to be taken lightly.
This year our goal is to have 100 people give away 1,000 books. To make this possible, we are looking for volunteers and donations. If you'd like to donate or sponsor a set of 10 books to give away, you can find more information

To be considered as a volunteer for our September 15th distribution, please fill and submit this form by September 10th. At the end of the application period, we will send you an email to let you know if you have been selected, what book you will be giving out, and which distribution date we will have your books available.
Books will be given away in two rounds for distribution to the community. Round One will be on August 15th and Round Two will be on September 15th. Books must be picked up within a week of the distribution date or your books will be designated to another volunteer.
We'll be reading through each application and selecting those with the best plans to give out the books. We are especially looking for plans that involve getting books directly into people's hands, like handing out books at a coffee shop. Any plans that involving online giveaways, giving out to established book clubs, or putting copies in Little Free Libraries will not be accepted.
In addition to your distribution plan, please mark in order of preference the top three books you would most like to give out, and which of the two distribution dates you would prefer. We cannot guarantee you will get your first choice, but we will do our best!
